We’re a family owned and operated Chicago business where three generations that have come together to fine-tune old recipes and create new ones. There is great family pride that goes into everything we produce and we hope that comes through as you explore our delicious products made with the finest all-natural and organic ingredients produced in a commercial kitchen in the Avondale neighborhood of Chicago. Our amazing team prepares, bakes, and packages every product by hand, seriously! There are no robots, conveyor belts, or heavy machinery of any kind here. When we say “hand chopped”, we really mean Emery, or Ari, or Victoria, or one of our other amazing bakers literally hand cut a whole bunch of dried cherries, and apricots, and all of our shortbread cookies! So, if it bothers you when every apricot isn’t exactly the same size, or one shortbread cookie is thicker than another, you’re going to struggle with our products! But if you appreciate how good it feels to eat something made fresh within days of when you are enjoying it, by a human who really loves making fresh, delicious foods from family recipes, then you’re going to love our products! #KnowYourFood!
In creating Emery’s Kitchen we also felt strongly about giving back to help our fellow human (and animal) kind. That’s why we’ve partnered with two amazing local organizations and agreed to donate 10% of our profits to these great charities. We’re proud to support The Honeycomb Project and One Tail at a Time, We encourage you to learn more about them both and, if you’re feeling frisky, go ahead, donate even more on your own!
Finally, we are proud to say our scone packaging is 100% plastic-free utilizing a compostable vacuum bag and recyclable paper. Our granola bags are currently made from a biodegradable rice paper and we are working on a fully compostable granola bag which should be ready shortly. This was pretty important to our family to get right at the very start. We might not be able to save the planet all by ourselves but we’re proud to do our part to reduce waste and plastic consumption while serving up some amazing comfort food.
Enjoy guilt-free knowing you’re making a small difference by simply trying our delicious products.
